From Florida To The GTGH Fair With Love

Written by Aimee McGrath, Soul Creative

I've had the pleasure of working with Jennifer Knepper and the GTGH Volunteer Team for the past 2 years. I've gotten to know and love Jenn and her goal to connect like-minded people together to serve the greater good. She is an AMAZING connector and just an epic person on her own... and I really wanted to see the efforts and enjoy the GTGH Fair in person this year, so I packed a bag and flew back to Lancaster, PA from Jacksonville Beach, Florida!

I arrived late Saturday night with just enough time to get some sleep and catch a ride to the fair with my friend and fellow GTGH Fair Volunteer, Roxanne Foura. When we arrived everything was so organized and I was super impressed with the venue, the Lancaster Farm & Home Center.

I enjoyed wonderful conversations with so many fantastic non-profit organizations that I'd never met face-to-face... I genuinely loved that part of the day for me! Overall, the event brought in around 500 attendees this year and that does not include all of the online sales prior to and after the event.

It was definitely a wonderful decision to make the trip for the fair and I was deeply touched by those I met who were so passionate about their causes... thank you for participating and sharing the details with me!

I felt connected to my community even though I've moved out of the area. I was just so excited and felt just at home as soon as I walked in. Lancaster County is full of wonderful nonprofit organizations and there is a website presentlancaster.com where you can support many of the local vendors that attended the gift fair if you were unable to attend please know the gift-giving can be done year-long on their website.
