"I didn't learn until I hit my 20's that what happened to me is called trafficking." - Survivor JR
Sex Trafficking, known as modern-day slavery, is real and happening right here in Lancaster County. That's why at North Star Initiative our mission is to advocate for and support survivors of sex trafficking by providing physical, psychological, emotional, educational, and spiritual development through a Christ-centered focus. The more we see, talk, and educate ourselves on human trafficking the better chance we have at stopping it.
So, for the month of January, we are partnering with local coffee shops to help bring human trafficking to public attention. We're asking you to stand with us in raising awareness this January; take a friend to one of these coffee shops, start the conversation about human trafficking, wear blue January 11th and post a picture on social media sharing your support. Or another easy way to spread awareness is to have our staff come speak to your school, church, company, or any group setting. All you have to do is sign up today and we'll take care of the rest. Any little step to raise awareness is a step towards a better life for everyone.
