  • Announce that you’re participating in the 2026 Gifts That Give Hope Fair.

  • Respond 'Going' on the GTGH Facebook event.
  • Mention GTGH at upcoming events, including banquets, fundraisers, 5Ks, board meetings, and community gatherings.
  • Mention that you're participating in GTGH in your newsletter & social media and invite them to save the date.

Share Your Story

  • Share why your organization participates in GTGH and why charitable giving or shopping with intention matters to your mission.
  • Introduce your featured gifts and explain the impact they make possible.
  • Share a behind-the-scenes look at your preparation or a story connected to your gift.
  • Encourage employees, volunteers, and board members to share your posts with their own communities.

Invite Your Community

  • Create and share a personal GTGH wishlist. Invite employees, board members, and supporters to create and share their own wishlists, too.
  • Accept your invitation as a host or promote the GTGH Facebook event, then share it with relevant Facebook groups and communities.
  • Make your invitation personal. Tailor posts to different audiences, such as educators, healthcare professionals, families, faith communities, civic groups, or local foodies.
  • Tag friends or pages who may connect with a particular nonprofit, cause, gift, or event experience.
  • Post a reminder about attending in person.
  • Send an email to supporters inviting them to visit your table or shop your profile online.

Build Excitement

Gifts that Give Hope: Lancaster’s 19th Annual Gift Fair

In its 19th year of celebrating and encouraging charitable giving, the annual gift fair will be taking place on Saturday October 10th, at the Farm and Home Center from 10am-3pm.

Tips & FAQs

How do I find my nonprofit gifting profile link?

  1. Visit giftsthatgivehopelancaster.org.
  2. Select Gift by Nonprofit from the website menu.
  3. They are sorted A-Z. Find and open your organization’s profile.
  4. Copy the web address from the address bar at the top of your browser. It should look something like: https://giftsthatgivehopelancaster.org/collection/[nonprofit-name]
    or
    On a phone, tap your browser’s Share button and select Copy Link.

Use this direct link in your social media posts, email newsletters, website, and other communications so supporters can easily find your organization’s gifts.

When should we begin promoting GTGH?

You can begin promoting GTGH at any time! Your organization’s online gifting profile is available year-round, so you don’t have to wait until the fall to share it. Link to your profile from your website, newsletters, social media posts, fundraising campaigns, and other communications throughout the year.

Promotion for the in-person fair should begin in mid-to-late August with an announcement that your organization is participating. Continue sharing throughout September with featured gifts, impact stories, behind-the-scenes content, and event reminders.

On setup day and event day, share photos, Stories, or Reels from your table. After the fair, thank your supporters, share the impact of their purchases, and remind them that they can continue supporting your organization through your online GTGH gifting profile year-round.

How do I accept an Instagram collaborator request or Facebook event host invitation?

To accept an Instagram collaborator request:

  1. Make sure you are logged into your organization’s Instagram account.
  2. Open the notification or direct message from @giftsthatgivehopelancaster.
  3. Tap Review.
  4. Tap Accept.

After you accept, the post will appear on both accounts and can reach both audiences.

To accept a Facebook event host invitation:

  1. Make sure you are using the Facebook profile or Page that was invited.
  2. Open your Facebook notifications.
  3. Look for a notification saying that Gifts That Give Hope invited you to co-host the event.
  4. Open the invitation and click Accept.

After accepting, the GTGH Gift Fair should appear in your Page’s events. You can then mark yourself as Going or Interested, invite followers and friends, and share the event to your Page.

How do I tag Gifts That Give Hope in a social media post?

When writing your caption, type @ followed by the GTGH account name:

  • On Instagram, type @giftsthatgivehopelancaster
  • On Facebook, type @GiftsThatGiveHopeLancaster

When the account appears in the list, click or tap its name to create the tag. A working tag will usually appear highlighted or linked in your caption.

Tagging GTGH allows us to see your post and makes it easier for us to share it with our audience. You can also tag GTGH directly in photos, Reels, and Instagram Stories.

Do I need a Canva account to use the templates?

Yes. You’ll need to log in to a Canva account before opening and customizing the templates. A free Canva account will work, but it has limited options; eligible nonprofit organizations can apply for a free Canva Pro account through Canva for Nonprofits.

How do I customize and download a Canva template?

Click the Use Canva Templates button and select the design you’d like to use. Add your organization’s name, logo, photos, featured gifts, or other details. You can also update the colors and wording to match your organization.

When your design is ready, click Share, then Download, and choose PNG or JPG. The downloaded graphic can then be posted on your social media accounts.
