Empowered Goods https://www.shopempoweredgoods.com/

At Empowered Goods, our goal is to do our part in overcoming poverty. Founder, Casi Groff, lived in Juarez, Mexico for two years and saw firsthand the harsh reality of the hardships poverty brings. Casi was specifically struck with the dilemma parents are put in by needing to leave their children home alone and work long hours at factories just to barely make enough to survive, much less thrive. As children spend large portions of their lives alone they are more susceptible to the sinister influences found in impoverished areas such as drugs, violence, gangs, etc. Empowered Goods was born to address this injustice. Through crafting handmade products our artisans are able to be home with their families, working from their kitchen tables, AND receive a healthy living wage to empower them to overcome these cycles of poverty. As Empowered Goods grows, we hope to be part of empowering change in many other communities in need. Each purchase truly makes a difference in the lives of our artisans and their families.

Girl Crush Company https://www.girlcrushco.com/collections

Products with a Purpose: Candace Abel started making her own soaps and lotions when she was on a quest to find natural, healthier bath & body products. Her soaps and lotions with natural ingredients and an artistic flair caught the attention of family and friends, who were soon asking for products for their use, often placing orders for things like custom party and wedding favors. In 2018, Candace decided to turn her hobby into something more and established Girl Crush Company as a social enterprise initiative of Second Grace. Although the name was a nod towards her adoption of daughters, it also stands for the “extra love” we place on our customers and the young mothers who work in the Second Grace program. “Healing life’s little bumps and upheavals begin from within the body, whether it's your mind or your heart,” says Candace. “Caring for our body tenderly and respectfully is an important part of that mindset journey towards resiliency and recovery.” Using this same lens of social well-being, non-profits, Girl Crush Company purchases organic, responsibly sourced oils and butters, and ingredients from local suppliers. Our products contain ethically-sourced colors and fragrances which means no child labor and no animal testing. Our products are handmade in Girl Crush Company’s soap studio in Mount Joy, PA.
