Meet Jessica Timblin, Stylist and Owner of Jessica Timblin Stylin

By  Marian Pontz

Jessica Timblin, a personal shopper and styling wardrobe expert featured on NBC’s Today Show, will once again take part in the Gifts That Give Hope Alternative Gift Fair this year. Timblin took a few minutes to share why she enjoys being a part of the annual gift fair, as well as how her work aligns with the goals of GTGH.

After speaking with Timblin and perusing her social media, I am reminded of my grandmother’s regular saying: “Waste not, want not.” We live in a world of fast fashion, one in which many of us fill our closets with clothes we don't actually wear or outfits that sometimes disintegrate in a few washes. That’s what drives Timblin — she can show you how to accentuate your best qualities, find and purchase timeless pieces that work together season after season, and clean out your closet to make getting ready in the morning a more streamlined experience. Why waste your time, money, and the Earth’s resources when we have Timblin, who can help us all dress for our best sleeves and cut out fast fashion?

Gifts that Give Hope: How many years have you been involved in the Alternative Gift Fair?

Jessica Timblin: This will be my second year at GTGH! I'm excited to be back and have some fun things planned for the event.

GTGH: How do your values and company culture align with the goals of the Gifts That Give Fair?

JT: Educating my clients on the benefits of shopping sustainably is an important aspect of my work as a stylist. Making more conscious shopping decisions, using what you already own, and discarding pieces in an eco-conscious way are just a few examples of why the GTGH Fair aligns with my values.

GTGH: What are the benefits of using your service?

JT: We all have to get up and get dressed in the morning, but no one ever taught us how to do it! The stress, decision fatigue, and hours and money spent on trying to look our best takes a toll on our overall health and happiness. As a personal stylist, I work with women and men one-on-one to address the issues they face with their style, and devise a plan of attack to give them back the freedom to love their wardrobe again!

GTGH: Why do you participate in the Gift That Give Hope Fair?

JT: The Fair is a one-of-a-kind event that positively impacts the small businesses and nonprofits in our community. I love getting to connect with shoppers and other businesses, and I am so thankful to be a part of it!

Visit Timblin at the Gifts that Give Hope Alternative Gift Fair on Saturday, December 10, 2023 from 10am-3pm at the Farm and Home Center in Lancaster.
