What Our Community Says

I know that I have spent my money wisely when I buy gifts from GTGH. It is almost like using my money twice; the first time on the fair trade product and then the second time when the money becomes a donation to help the community.

Lauren

Aaron’s Acres has always enjoyed participating in the GTGH event as it is a day of raising awareness of a diverse group of non-profit organizations, locally, nationally and globally, all doing impactful work.  Learning about the various programs that are being offered to help different groups of people is inspiring and gives hope for a better world for all of us.  Seeing families visit the tables and having their children ask questions and ultimately deciding which organizations they wish to support is wonderful as it is empowering young people to learn about giving back and having them be a part of this opportunity.  Lastly, it is a day in which organizations can connect with one another and explore possible collaborative work moving forward. Throughout the years, we have created new relationships and connections as a result of first connecting at a GTGH event.  This event truly results in a stronger community for everyone!

The Gifts that Give Hope Fair brings together the best of Lancaster County—those looking for ways to improve and help their communities, and those making those improvements. On that day, there is a convergence of focus, determination, and optimism in the power of concerned citizens to positively change the world.

Not only is GTGH a meaningful and fun alternative to typical, materialist holiday shopping, but it allows you to rub shoulders with the most amazing people doing their bits of good for the world. The first year I attended GTGH, my booth was set up next to a young man and his mother who had recently been resettled to the United States after living for twelve years in a refugee camp. This young man is now a local leader and entrepreneur who I feel privileged to call my friend.

For years I brought my young family to participate in the alternative gift fair. We always looked forward to it, enjoying learning about so many wonderful organizations. The food is amazing and there are so many inspirational gift ideas in the marketplace. I loved that it brought the true meaning of the season in a tangible way to my children. I shopped for teacher gifts which always received such a positive response from the recipients. I think people really value being thought of in that way. Definitely check out the alternative gift fair for yourself. You’ll be glad you did!
