Reach Out and Read’s mission is partnering with pediatric care providers to prescribe books during regular pediatric checkups. Pediatricians, family physicians, physician assistants and nurse practitioners give new, developmentally appropriate books to children, from infancy through 5 years, and advise parents about the importance of reading aloud.
