Today we’re highlighting the nonprofits that are part of GTGH who work on providing affordable housing options here in Lancaster County. Whether it is providing stable and safe housing for mothers & their children who may be facing the possibility of homelessness, Milagro House provides support for women to gain their footing, and have access to pursue long-held educational opportunities in a nurturing environment.
We also feature a program of Love INC, the Homes of Hope initiative that aims to bring families into a safe and secure housing unit while simultaneously providing mentorship and coaching on the ultimate timeline of getting families into permanent housing. The need for affordable housing is a human right as it provides the most basic and necessary protection from the elements, a secure place to rest, sleep, and grow both physically and mentally.
